Quilter’s Cloth is based in Cambridge in the east of England and has been supplying quality patchwork fabrics since 2006. Quilter’s Cloth is a ‘family and friends’ business and is committed to everything to do with making quilts.
Quilters Cloth History
It isn’t always easy to find a supply of just the right fabric just the right distance away and it isn’t always possible to hold on until the next quilt show. Shopping online is the answer, and we are committed to making the experience of buying fabric online as easy and enjoyable as walking into an actual shop.
We do everything possible to display the fabric so you can see the colours, the patterns, the scale and which fabrics work best together, and in return we can suggest ways of using it. We want to encourage and help the beginner quilter as well as the more experienced, and we want to inspire everyone.
We only buy the best quality cloth and are constantly meeting with our suppliers and looking for new ranges to inspire you. The site will be constantly updated with new stock and with new ideas for fabric combinations so you will always find something new.
Colour Matching Patchwork
We understand that some of you may be wary of buying fabric online which is why we spend so much time photographing our fabrics and matching them with other fabrics, so you can be sure that if we say the fabrics work well together then they will. Of course, if when you receive your order you don’t agree then you are welcome to return.
If you have a fabric at home and you need a match for it simply send us a sample together with details of what you are looking for and your contact details and we will do our best to help.
Needlework Inspiration & Ideas
We always try and offer the best price we can and when we get a special deal we will pass that on to our customers. We offer discounts and special offers whenever we can.
Making a quilt requires more than just a collection of fabrics; among other things you need time and space and perhaps most of all inspiration. Inspiration can come from anywhere and when we find something inspiring we will pass it on, this may be a new range of fabrics, an unusual colour combination, a photograph of someone’s garden, a change in the seasons or maybe a new book.
