Established in 1981, this Indonesian based wholesaler is the home of beautiful and vibrant handmade fabrics.
As owner and designer, Princess Mirah designs traditional batiks with a modern flavour exclusively for Bali Fabrics. The designs reflect the history and surroundings of the Balinese people. Primarily Batiks have stamped designs. However, Princess Mirah has also created what she names 'Polos' which is a Balinese word meaning 'without pattern'. Polos are created by the use of a wide range of colours to produce a multi-faceted look.
The process of production is intensive from Princess Mirah herself in creating up to 12 designs a year to the actual manufacture of the fabric. The labour intensive production can require a fabric to be dyed up to fourteen times. The end result is a soft, reversible pattern which is unique.

In the last decade or so there has been a huge increase in the number of fabric houses producing new collections specifically aimed at the patchwork and quilting markets.
