Batik fabrics, with their characteristic mottled backgrounds, lend themselves to a vast range of projects, from traditional floral appliqué to the most modern of art quilts. Colours are mixed in ways you just can’t find anywhere else and once you fall in love with these prints there’s no turning back.

Here at Quilter’s Cloth we collect batiks like there’s no tomorrow; falling time and again for the startlingly bright prints and also never quite able to resist the soft pastel shades. Moody prints in browns and greys are not passed by either - great for landscape quilts or to balance out the bright prints.

Batiks can be used for any patchwork project; they blend so well together without ever really clashing - so you can be really adventurous with your combinations. Do make sure you keep checking our batik collection as new designs are constantly being added.
